...New AVIATION...

.KEY MESSAGES...

- A stalling frontal boundary northwest of the region Sunday
  providing a focus for a few (20% to 30% chance) showers to
  develop across Southeast Texas and perhaps far west Louisiana,
  but the majority of the region will not see rain appreciable
  rainfall.

- Temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 80s next week
  along with increasing humidity on breezy southerly winds week.
  Central Louisiana may even break 90 late in the week.

.DISCUSSION...
(This evening through next Friday)
Issued at 1230 PM CDT Sat Apr 11 2026

A frontal system will stall across Central Texas while high
pressure centered over the southeastern US continue to provide
southeasterly winds along with increasing low level moisture.
Little if any rainfall is expected this week, with the best
chances across SE TX closer to the front over the next couple of
days.

A warming trend is expected through the week with temperatures
around 90 possible by Friday.

&&

.AVIATION...
(00Z TAFS)
Issued at 642 PM CDT Sat Apr 11 2026

VFR conditions ongoing with gusty southeasterly flow slowly
tapering over the evening. We could see some areas of patchy fog
and low CIGs overnight, however no serious impacts are expected.

&&

.MARINE...
Issued at 1230 PM CDT Sat Apr 11 2026

High pressure over the southeastern U.S. will maintain east to
southeast winds across the northern gulf for the next several
days with seas remaining consistently
between 2-3 feet over the nearshore coastal waters and 3-5 feet over
the outer coastal waters. A few small showers will be possible
across the coastal waters of southeast Texas today and Sunday, but
no precipitation is expected Monday through Friday.

&&

.FIRE WEATHER...
Issued at 1230 PM CDT Sat Apr 11 2026

While winds will continue to be breezy at times relative humidity
values will increase as moisture continues to be transported in
from the gulf. A frontal boundary will stall northwest of the
area, but could provide a few spotty showers across Southeast
Texas.
